Josh Erwin is from Austin, Texas and attended The University of Texas and Texas Tech University School of Law. Before establishing The Erwin Law Firm with his wife and law partner in 2011, Mr. Erwin was a civil litigator, working with a Texas State Bar President and two International Academy of Trial Lawyers Presidents, and a prosecutor, including service as the first assistant district attorney. Mr. Erwin has tried every level of criminal case and prides himself on trial preparation and trial performance. Mr. Erwin is a member of the elite Texas trial lawyer association, the Tonahill Society, evidencing his skill at trial, and was recently named Hays County Best Attorney. Amanda Erwin grew up in Houston, Texas and attended the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York and The St. Mary’s University School of Law. Mrs. Erwin has tried an extensive number of juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony cases both as a prosecutor and as a defense attorney. She has also written numerous appellate briefs and presented oral arguments to many different Court of Appeals in Texas, where she has garnered published opinions and successfully overturned convictions. Respected by her colleagues, Mrs. Erwin has previously been elected as President of the Hays County Defense Bar, the Bar Association’s representative to the Hays County Criminal Justice Commission, and voted Best Criminal Defense, Criminal Appeals, and Juvenile Attorney in all of Hays County. Mrs. Erwin is a member of the prestigious national trial advocacy organization, The Order of the Barristers.
